My experience has taught me that local involvement is the most important involvement.

It has also taught me that any business or organization functions best with teamwork. The purpose of the board is to perform the administrative duties of the town including paying the bills, seeing that the town buildings and roads are maintained, enacting laws as required while making the best use of the taxpayers money.

I want to put my time and experience together with other town board members to do the town board’s work and see that it is done well.

Qualifications and Accomplishments

• Has lived in Clermont for 36 years.
• Education includes a BS in political science from SUNY at Oneonta and various business classes taken at Columbia Greene Community College.
• Employed in the finance office at Taconic Farms in Germantown for 20 years.
• Involved for 27 years with my husband and his family in operating a farm and a part time seed and fertilizer business in Clermont.
• Served as the secretary-treasurer of the Columbia County Farm Bureau, helped with membership campaigns for many years.
• Volunteered during my daughter’s school years with the Germantown Friends of Music and as a Sunday school teacher.
• Worked as an election inspector in Columbia County and in Clermont.
• Served 2 terms on the New York State Democratic Committee representing the 127th Assembly District.
• Served as treasurer for the Columbia County Democratic Committee.
• In 2008 and 2009, participated in work groups for Habitat in Hudson and plan to continue in the future.
