Phyllis Heiko (Co-Chair) will be attending a County Democratic meeting in Hudson tomorrow 3/24/12 for the purpose of endorsing national candidates. Phyllis also provided a calendar of events for the STATE BOARD OF ELECTIONS.

Dawn Brownson (Treasurer) will contact Chris Nolan (former Co-Chair & Treasurer) to discuss finances, current bank balance and find out about new signature cards from the bank.

Reaching out to the Democratic population in Clermont via:
Telephone – Phyllis will create script to discuss the primary candidates …. will distribute calling list.

The possibility of using FACEBOOK & TWITTER.

Sending personal handwritten notes “INVITATION STYLE” to current party members “INVITING” them to take part in the Clermont Democratic Party. A way of reaching out, other than using the telephone which intrudes upon a person’s private time and space. The message would be printed but signed by each of us who volunteers to write these things out. Included will be a “RSVP” card requesting an email address or a telephone number
(for the older folks) and a stamped return envelope that would be mailed to our new
Clermont Dem P.O. Box. (which Dawn will look into)

Of course we also intend to include our website address if people choose to register that way, but, we felt that the “old-fashioned – hand written piece of mail is simply so unique and irresistible these days – that it might just get people’s attention. And the return RSVP card with the stamped envelope is an “action” that might engage them in some sort of commitment to check out the party.

Of course, we can do this if the budget allows. We figure that each invitation/rsvp w/postage would cost $2. each.

Meri to create copy for the “invitation” and the RSVP card and will check Staples & Michaels for the materials needed for this project. (Copy subject to approval by other officers)
